TRAVEL TRADE AND MEDIA

Inukshuk, Newfoundland and Labrador Indigenous Tourism Association (NLITA)

Canada

DO-IT supports the global travel trade and media by sharing trusted information, practical tools, and Indigenous led guidance that help strengthen the understanding, representation, and inclusion of Indigenous tourism worldwide. A core part of this work is connecting the industry with Indigenous partners, national organizations, and operators, while elevating the tools, resources, and best practices developed by our founding partners and others that are relevant to the sector.

This section is designed to inform and inspire journalists, storytellers, tour operators, travel advisors, and industry partners by providing guidance on respectful storytelling, meaningful engagement, access to trusted networks, story ideas, and consumer facing resources that reflect Indigenous realities, values, and leadership. As a global network, DO-IT helps elevate relationships that create stronger pathways between Indigenous tourism and the broader travel industry.
